Q: Am I eligible for the Con Edison Room Air-Conditioner Rebate Program?
A: All Con Edison residential account holders who purchase a new ENERGY STAR® room air-conditioner between May 20, 2013 and August 30, 2013 are eligible for a rebate. If you are submitting a mail-in rebate, it must be postmarked by September 6, 2013. Con Edison reserves the right to suspend the program at any time based on funding availability. Visit energystar.gov for a listing of eligible models.
Q: What documentation is required for a room air conditioner rebate?
A: You must fill out the rebate application entirely and provide a legible copy of a paid receipt.
Q: How long will it take to receive the rebate after I submit my rebate application?
A: Please allow six to eight weeks after receipt of complete documentation for payment of rebates approved by Con Edison. It will take longer if information is missing from the rebate application. Please make sure you fill in all the required information, including your signature. You must include a copy of a paid sales receipt.
Q: How long will the rebates last?
A: Rebates will be offered for room air conditioners purchased between May 20, 2013 and August 30, 2013. If you are submitting a mail-in rebate, it must be postmarked by September 6, 2013. The submission of a complete and accurate application does not guarantee the issuance of a rebate. Con Edison reserves the right to suspend the program at any time based on funding availability.
Q: Is there a limit on the rebates I can get?
A: Yes. The $25 rebate is limited to two rebates per account holder.
Q: How do I submit my mail-in rebate application?
A: Download a printable form in English or Spanish and mail your rebate application along with legible copy of a paid receipt in its entirety postmarked by September 6, 2013 to:

Q: What file formats do you accept for the receipt image?
A: The online rebate application form accepts PDF, JPG, TIF and PNG file formats for receipt images. Please note that the image must be legible and include the full content of the sales receipt in order for your application to be processed in a timely manner.
Q.: I will be paying for my air conditioner upon delivery of the product. Can I submit my COD in place of a receipt?
A: No, a receipt that shows your air conditioner has been paid for must accompany your rebate.
