Plus, you may qualify for other energy programs

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers programs for homeowners who want to be more energy-efficient. To see if one of these programs is right for you, visit NYSERDA. Con Edison customers are not eligible to receive financial incentives and/or rebates for the same eligible equipment from NYSERDA and/or another electric or gas utility company.

Eligibility Requirements and Other Terms and Conditions

  1. Rebates are offered to Con Edison individually metered residential gas heating customers with service addresses that are 1-4 unit homes regardless of their energy supplier.
  2. Rebate applications must be completed, signed, and mailed to Honeywell, together with a copy of AHRI certificate or manufacturer’s specification sheet and a paid invoice from your contractor that indicates the equipment type, make, model, price, serial number, and the date of purchase. Failure to complete this application in full may delay or disqualify your rebate. Applications must be postmarked by January 14, 2017. Neither Con Edison, Honeywell, nor their designee shall be responsible for lost, late, illegible, or misdirected mail. The most current version of the rebate application supersedes all previous versions.
  3. Gas equipment must be purchased and installed between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016, to be eligible.
  4. Customer is not eligible to receive financial incentives and/or rebates for the same eligible measure from NYSERDA and/or another electric or gas utility company.
  5. Eligible equipment must be installed by a licensed contractor meeting all New York State and local municipality requirements and such equipment must meet the efficiency level set forth within the rebate application. The eligible high-efficiency equipment must be installed in accordance with applicable codes and standards, including the proper sizing of high-efficiency equipment.
  6. All work to be performed by or on behalf of a customer applying for the rebate must be in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws; rules and regulations (including laws requiring the employment of licensed persons to perform such work); and all Con Edison requirements for electric and gas service, where applicable.
  7. Con Edison, Honeywell, or their designee may conduct a final inspection after all work has been completed and all necessary documentation has been received to determine whether rebates are payable. It does not include any kind of safety or code review, and should not be relied upon as one. If it is determined that you are eligible for the rebate, please allow six to eight weeks after inspection or receipt of documentation for payment of the rebate. Rebate will be paid directly to the Con Edison account holder.
  8. Customer agrees and consents to Con Edison providing customer information, including but not limited to customer name, account number, gas consumption data, and electric/gas savings to its third-party evaluation contractor for program evaluation purposes. The evaluation contractor is obligated to Con Edison to keep the customer information confidential. This information may also be provided by Con Edison to the New York State Public Service Commission. This information will be aggregated with information about other Con Edison customers.
  9. Indemnification – Customer shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the company and its officers, directors, employees, agents, servants and assigns from and against any and all losses, claims, demands and/or liability for damage to property, injury or death of any person, or any other liability incurred by the company, including all expenses, legal or otherwise, arising out of or related to the equipment or installation, except to the extent attributable to the negligence of company. In no event shall company’s liability to customer exceed the rebate amounts.
  10. Limited Scope Review – The scope of review by the company and the vendor and their inspector of the installation of the equipment is solely to determine whether rebates are payable. It does not include any kind of safety or code review, and should not be relied upon as one.
  11. Customer shall be responsible for all taxes that may be imposed with respect to the rebate offer. Customer may want to consult a tax adviser about any tax consequences of this offer.
  12. Con Edison and Honeywell do not endorse, guarantee, or warrant any particular contractor, manufacturer or product installation. Con Edison and Honeywell do not make any representation of any kind regarding the results to be achieved by the equipment or the adequacy or safety of such equipment.
  13. Eligibility for the gas rebates shall be determined by Con Edison, at its sole discretion and has no obligation to notify customer in the event Con Edison, Honeywell or their designee, determines the customer is not eligible for a gas rebate.
  14. Con Edison reserves the right to limit quantities.
  15. Con Edison reserves the right to amend or terminate this rebate offer.
